With the 4.5G LTE-A Europe/Americas hotplug module, LTE-Advanced can be used with any modular Viprinet Multichannel VPN Router. LTE-Advanced is a further development of the mobile phone standard LTE (4G) and enables significantly higher data transfer rates. The 4.5G LTE-A Europe/ Americas hotplug module achieves data rates of up to 300 Mbps – a download three times faster than with previous 4G modules.

With additional support for the UMTS / 3G mobile communications standard, this module enables uninterrupted mobile data connections and is therefore particularly suitable for mobile computing and networks with large data volumes. The transition between different mobile phone standards is seamless and the best available connection is always used.

The scope of delivery includes two high-quality folding antennas for mobile communications and a small antenna base. Two SMA sockets on each module allow an external MIMO antenna to be connected to the module. This allows good mobile radio connections to be realized even under the most difficult reception conditions.

Please note: LTE uses different radio frequency bands depending on the country. This module supports only the LTE frequency bands commonly used in Europe and North America. When selecting an external antenna, please ensure that it supports both the LTE and UMTS frequency bands used.
